Are you interested in getting involved with the Scottish Mediation Network? Learn how to join and the many benefits of membership.
Are you a mediator practising in Scotland? Join the Scottish Mediation Register.
The Scottish Mediation Network is membership organisation. We welcome applications from any interested parties to become a member.
If you are mediation practitioner and would like to join the Scottish Mediation Register, you must meet the Practice Standards. These standards ensure that mediators have had sufficient training, have completed ongoing CPD and have appropriate insurance and procedures for complaints. Joining the Scottish Mediation Register includes membership of the Scottish Mediation Network.
The Scottish Mediation Register (SMR) is an independent Register of mediators who meet the required standards for admission. This website provides access to the Scottish Mediation Register to members of the public and enables searches of the Register by geographical area and by the type of dispute.
Membership of the SMR is a professional standard for mediators. Mediators who appear on the SMR can call themselves Scottish Mediation Registered Mediators and are entitled to use the SMR logo next to their name.
If you don’t yet meet the standards required to join the Register, or if you are member of the public, professional or organisation with an interest in mediation, you can still join the Scottish Mediation Network as a member and have access to a wealth of benefits and members only resources.
