SUMMARY:The Power of Reflective Practice: Using Reflective Debrief® to Build Competence
DESCRIPTION:Reflective Practice is a unique method of case consultation that draws on a professional’s knowledge and experience to learn from the surprising (both successful and frustrating) moments in practice. Learning from practice experiences—especially the surprising and puzzling moments—enhances a professional’s competence and increases confidence. \nThis online presentation will address: \n• What it means to be a Reflective Practitioner—the basic principles and methods of reflective practice. \n• Applying reflective practice—the practical benefits \n• Distinguishing reflective practice groups from other case consultation/peer support groups \n• Reflective Practice Group—invaluable resource for ongoing learning and professional development \n• As part of the presentation\, there will be two demonstrations of “reflective debrief\,” the process used in reflective practice groups to help practitioners learn from and through their experiences. \nFurther information: \nAs part of the presentation\, there will be two demonstrations of “reflective debrief\,” the process used in reflective practice groups to help practitioners learn from and through their experiences. \nThe objective of Reflective Practice is to achieve learning that is personal\, relevant\, and lasting. This kind of learning allows practitioners to examine their thinking\, evaluate their assumptions and interventions and find answers to puzzling and frustrating practice situations. \nThis presentation will offer valuable information and practical lessons for all levels of experience—whether seasoned practitioner or just starting practice in dispute resolution. \nCost: £30 SM members/£40 non-members \nTo book this event please click HERE.
