With over 30 years of experience as a practicing civil attorney, including more than 29 years with the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Marcia has extensive experience negotiating and resolving disputes involving parties across a wide range of industries and business sectors. Her work has included matters involving organizations headquartered throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and Canada.

Marcia approaches mediation with a strong commitment to helping people discuss their options with knowledge and awareness so they will make informed decisions and exercise meaningful self-determination. Drawing on skills developed through decades of legal practice, education, and community service, she works to create a space in which parties can communicate openly, listen without judgment, and better understand one another’s concerns and interests. She believes that conflict often arises precisely because people care deeply about the issues at hand and that thoughtful dialogue can lead to greater understanding, reconciliation, and workable resolution.

Marcia is a certified mediator in Scotland and has facilitated disputes in which she has helped parties identify practical and mutually workable solutions.

Melissa is a practicing Certified Mediator in Texas and Scotland. She brings more than 20 years of professional and academic experience in education and global affairs, including extensive work with young people and communities. Over the course of her career, Melissa has also served in administrative and organizational capacities that have required her to work across public, private, and community settings. These experiences inform her ability to engage comfortably with people who bring different perspectives.

Her approach to mediation centers on careful listening, impartiality, and respect for each Party’s perspective and experience. Melissa works to create an environment in which participants feel heard without judgment while remaining focused on the issues at hand and possible paths toward resolution.
