The Scottish Mediation Register is an independent Register of mediators who meet standards of quality. In order to join the Register, mediation practitioners must meet the current Practice Standards which have been amended to suit the needs and opportunities of young people as peer mediators. Mediators who are on the SMR can call themselves a Scottish Mediation Registered Mediator and use the logo (see opposite) next to their name.
