A short presentation followed by a Q&A. The presentation will be led by Heather Zajac our new Project Officer Training and Practice. From the 1st April 2021 all mediators, when renewing practitioner status, will be required to provide information that they have met the new revised standards. The changes are to maintain and improve standards with an approach that encourages reflection on mediation practice at an appropriate level, balancing the skills of mediators and the protection of clients. Mandatory Mediation in Ontario, Canada: Popular 20 Years On

Nearly 20 years ago, mediation became a required step in most civil litigation proceedings in three major Ontario cities. It was then shown to decrease time to settle cases, decrease cost to litigants, and increase satisfaction among lawyers and parties, among other benefits. Peer Mediation – Adult Skills Training

This online skills development course taking place over two sessions (2 hours each session) will enable participants to deliver peer mediation training to children and young people aged 10 to 18 years.
