Mediate 2020

Taking place over 2 days on the 16th and 17th November, our theme for the conference is shaping the future. On our first day we will look at the future of online dispute resolution drawing on experiences of the courts in the USA. We’ll also look at how our own Covid-19 Mediation Service and our colleagues in British Columbia will shape our thinking going forward. On our second day some of the core ideas of mediator independence and impartiality come under the microscope. Are these still what matters or is a focus on ensuring party self determination what matters. We’ll also look at how mediators can build their resilience and creativity at a time when people are under great pressure.
