Grief When No-One Has Died
This training will build your confidence and insight into recognising and responding to grief beyond bereavement, supporting you to offer compassionate and validating responses to a wide range of losses.
Grief is not limited to death and can arise from experiences such as relationship changes, health conditions, identity shifts, or other significant life transitions. This training will explore how unrecognised or invalidated grief can impact wellbeing, functioning, and sense of self.
Course content:
• Consider what loss means to you, and how this may differ for others
• Develop understanding of the importance of validating grief beyond bereavement
• Explore activities, rituals, and language that support healthy grieving
• Consider the impact of supporting others, and how to maintain self-care and resilience
Trainers:
Cruse Scotland training will be delivered by a member of our Training Team. Each member is a qualified counsellor with expertise in the field of grief and bereavement. Each trainer brings a wealth of skills and experience in delivering training in person and online, content creation and high-level facilitation skills.

Cruse Scotland training deliveries are interactive and will invite attendees to share experiences of grief and hear others experiences. Participants attending who identify as actively grieving are asked to consider their wellbeing needs before attending.
