Reflective Practice is a unique method of case consultation that draws on a professional’s knowledge and experience to learn from the surprising (both successful and frustrating) moments in practice. Learning from practice experiences—especially the surprising and puzzling moments—enhances a professional’s competence and increases confidence.
This online presentation will address:
• What it means to be a Reflective Practitioner—the basic principles and methods of reflective practice.
• Applying reflective practice—the practical benefits
• Distinguishing reflective practice groups from other case consultation/peer support groups
• Reflective Practice Group—invaluable resource for ongoing learning and professional development
• As part of the presentation, there will be two demonstrations of “reflective debrief,” the process used in reflective practice groups to help practitioners learn from and through their experiences.
