Find a Mediator

Use our Find a Mediator search to find a Scottish mediator by type of mediation and region.
The Scottish Mediation Register is an independent register of mediators who meet the Scottish Mediation Network Benchmark Standards.
Some mediation services offer free or subsidised mediation. However this is not always available. If the mediation service is not publicly funded and free, your chosen mediator should discuss the costs with you. Mediation fees are usually given in an hourly or daily rate. The costs of mediation are usually shared between the parties in dispute.
Alternatively, call the Scottish Mediation Helpline on 0131 556 8118.
If you have a dispute involving a legal matter, Legal Aid may be available to cover the costs of mediation. Your solicitor should be able to advise you on the availability of Legal Aid. Some guidance can be found in this information leaflet.
